The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider stage developed for intervention activities a superior inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to help the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
